The point of this tour is to help you understand that there are usually several options for every decision you make in the backcountry and different decisions can have a variety of consequences. If you ever find yourself in a tough position such as the one depicted here, remember one question you should ask yourself, "what will keep me alive so i can come back and do this another day?" Use the data you collect on your tour, not your desires, to help you make your decisions, and hopefully you will never be in such a difficult scenerio.
