Always follow safe travel protocols:

  • only expose one person at a time

  • wear a helmet, preferably with full face mask

  • move from island of safety to island of safety

  • never travel above another person

  • always move a safe distance away from the base of a slope that you just rode

  • watch your partners and signal when you are clear of the slope

  • NEVER help your partner if they are stuck on a slope that is steep enough to slide or is below anything steep enough to slide. Most snowmobile fatalities occur when a second rider drives onto a slope to help a stuck partner and triggers an avalanche
