
Always follow safe travel protocols:
- only expose one person at a time
- wear a helmet, preferably with full face mask
- move from island of safety to island of safety
- never travel above another person
- always move a safe distance away from the base of a slope that you just rode
- watch your partners and signal when you are clear of the slope
- NEVER help your partner if they are stuck on a slope that is steep enough to slide or is below anything steep enough to slide. Most snowmobile fatalities occur when a second rider drives onto a slope to help a stuck partner and triggers an avalanche
